How to use a pallet
Always check your pallets before use
pdf
Never over-load the pallets beyond the manufacturer’s recommended load
pdf
Never throw the pallets from a height; it may cause them to crack
pdf
Avoid hitting the pallets with the forks of the forklift, this might compromise the structural integrity of the product
pdf
Don’t store pallets on their edges or ends. Pallets stored on edges tend to fall and cause injuries
pdf
Walk around pallets and not on them; many falls occur while attempting to walk on a pallet
pdf
Separate pallets into stacks of usable pallets and those that need service. Don’t mix unsafe pallets with those ready for use
pdf
Don’t manually stack more than 8 pallets; use forklifts to make stacks higher
pdf
To properly stack pallets, slide the pallet to one side of the stack. Using proper lifting motion, slide the pallet up the side of the stack and onto the top
pdf
Don’t ignore the safety of pallets just because they are used on a daily basis
pdf
Be careful about a large load lifted very high; as the load centre of a pallet increases, the lifting capacity of the forklift decreases
pdf
It takes an effort on everyone’s part to make pallet safety a part of the everyday operations
pdf
Each size and construction has different weight and load ranges and must be used according to your company’s specifications
pdf
Be careful while loading/unloading the pallet
